For the Pineider Avatar UR collection, created in 2019, Pineider developed a new material, a mix of mother-of-pearl and resin called UltraResin. It is a very rigid material, almost as hard as metal, and incredibly resistant to impact, making it nearly unbreakable.

It is also resistant to oils, ink, electricity, high and low temperatures and weather. Because of these characteristics, it is considered superior to celluloid, the historic and classic pen material.

Features of the Pineider Avatar UR

Avatar without glue

The Pineider Avatar UltraResin pen was built using the principles of GlueLess technology: that is, it was assembled without even a drop of glue, thanks to 3D design and extremely high precision throughout the production process.
Practically a technological puzzle, where each component fits into the other, like in a Meccano toy.

The details

The clip, made of marine steel, depicts a stylized quill pen, an eternal symbol of writing; it has a sophisticated compensation mechanism and a secure travel that make it suitable for use on any material and thickness.

The central rhodium-plated steel band depicts the Florence skyline and features the Pineider logo.

Why Avatar?

The word Avatar, in Sanskrit, means "appearance, descent".
