Features of the Delta Rediscover Pompei

This pen features a 14Kt gold nib, size 5. It is available with EF, F, M, or B nibs. It fills with a cartridge or converter, included in the package. Each piece is numbered and made from genuine original Delta celluloid.

The trim is palladium-plated, for an elegant and understated look. Celluloid requires long drying periods, even over a year, for proper curing. It is precisely this slow process that makes it resilient, meaning highly resistant to impact and abrasion. This is why for decades it was the leading material in the construction of high-quality fountain pens.

The pen's name harks back to the ancient city of Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Today, Pompeii is a world archaeological heritage site, attracting visitors from all over the world. The Slim version makes the Delta Rediscover Pompei comfortable to carry even in a pocket. Every detail, from the cap ring to the nib, is designed to combine craftsmanship and durability over time.

Delta is a historic brand of Neapolitan manufacturing, active since 1982 in the production of high-end fountain pens. Each piece of celluloid is selected and handcrafted by specialized artisans, step by step, before the final assembly of the pen. The natural veins of the material make each piece slightly different from the others, a distinctive feature much appreciated by collectors. The progressive numbering certifies its belonging to a limited edition, designed for those seeking a unique collector's item.
