The Visconti Carbon Abyssus transforms carbon fiber into an expression of strength, lightness, and elegance. It is the evolution of the Homo Sapiens line: an anodized blue aluminum alloy leaf emerges between the carbon veins, evoking the depths of a nocturnal ocean.

The fibers are more compactly woven than in previous models, creating a durable, uniform, and lightweight surface. The material is the same used in the aerospace and high-end automotive industries, offering an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
Each pen is entirely handcrafted in Florence, reflecting decades of Visconti's material innovation.

Features of the Carbon Abyssus

The anodized blue aluminum leaf creates iridescent reflections among the black carbon veins. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable, with a visual effect that changes depending on the light. The 18Kt gold nib is available in Fine, Medium, Broad, and Stub sizes, for every writing style.

The Power Filler loading system fills an exceptional amount of ink with a simple press. It ensures greater autonomy than traditional piston systems.

The bridge clip recalls Florence's Ponte Vecchio, a distinctive element of Visconti design. Founded in Florence in 1988, Visconti launched the Homo Sapiens line in 2000, being the first to introduce carbon fiber into luxury writing. It is a practically indestructible material, resistant to thermal changes.

All the metal parts are also subjected to a deep blue anodizing process.

Double tank

The barrel maintains the characteristic double-reservoir construction, enhanced by the central transparent acrylic rod that allows you to admire the ink level even when the pen is closed.
A technical detail that simultaneously becomes a distinctive design feature.

The Ergal alloy

Ergal is a special aluminum-based alloy used in the aerospace industry, known for its exceptional mechanical strength, which replaces the titanium of the previous Homo Sapiens Carbon Moiré.
The result is a perfect balance between solidity and writing comfort.
